PROFILE
Rose Selasi Nkornoo is an experienced educator in the field of Clothing and Textiles/Fashion Design. She currently holds a part-time position as an Assistant Lecturer at Koforidua Technical University’s Fashion Department. Her academic background is impressive, including a Master of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from Wuhan Textile University in China, a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from the University of Education Winneba, a Higher National Diploma in Fashion Design and Textile from Ho Technical University, and a West African Senior School Certificate from Awudome Senior High School.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
During my time at Wuhan Textile University, I actively engaged with the international community as an Executive Member of the International Student Association on the Nanhu campus. I volunteered during the COVID-19 pandemic, assisting students by procuring necessary supplies like face masks and groceries, as well as conducting daily temperature checks. I also organized daily exercise sessions for international students on campus.
Recognizing my dedication and leadership skills, I was appointed to various roles at Volo Senior High School, including Housemistress, Class Teacher, and Head of Department of Home Economics.
Furthermore, I served as the Financial Officer in the Fashion Department at Ho Polytechnic (now Ho Technical University) during my internship from September to December 2015. This experience allowed me to demonstrate my trustworthiness and commitment to my responsibilities.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Ms. Rose was awarded a scholarship to pursue her master’s degree at Wuhan Textile University in China. She previously received a scholarship during her secondary education at Kpedze Senior High School (KPESCO) in recognition of her academic excellence.
