Admission for International Applicants
Koforidua Technical University (KTU) welcomes applications from international students who wish to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the University.
International applicants are required to complete the admission process through the KTU Online Application Portal. The process is designed to facilitate certificate verification, application, and admission for applicants from outside Ghana.
Application Process
1. Application Fee
The application is free for all international applicants.
International applicants are not required to purchase an admission voucher before beginning the application process.
2. Submit Required Documents for Initial Assessment
Before receiving an application e-voucher, applicants must submit their academic documents for review and verification.
Postgraduate Applicants
Postgraduate applicants should submit:
- Academic certificates
- Academic transcripts
- Passport biodata page
- Academic references

3. Verification of Foreign Certificates
All foreign academic certificates must be verified by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).
The cost associated with the verification of foreign certificates is to be borne by the applicant.
Applicants are encouraged to complete the verification process early to avoid delays in the admission process.
4. Issuance of Free E-Voucher
After successful verification of the applicant's certificates, eligible international applicants will receive a free KTU admission e-voucher.
The e-voucher provides access to the University's online application system.
5. Complete the Online Application
Applicants who receive the e-voucher should access the KTU Online Application Portal and complete the application process.
Applicants should ensure that all information provided is accurate and consistent with their official academic and identification documents.
6. Required Documents for Online Application
Applicants must upload the required documents during the online application process.
Undergraduate Applicants
- Passport-size photograph with a white background
- Academic certificates and/or result slips
- Passport biodata page
- Other supporting documents as may be required
Postgraduate Applicants

Important Guidelines for International Applicants
- Ensure that all submitted documents are authentic, clear, and legible.
- Names and other personal details provided in the application should correspond with the applicant's official documents.
- Foreign certificates must be verified by GTEC before the KTU e-voucher is issued.
- Applicants should keep copies of all documents submitted during the application process.
- Applicants should regularly check their email and other official communication channels for updates regarding their application.
- Admission is subject to meeting the University's academic and programme-specific requirements.
