Nomolox Solomon Kofi Adherr is an Assistant Lecturer in Chemistry in the Department of Food and Postharvest Technology, Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, Koforidua Technical University (KTU). With over sixteen years of progressive experience across second-cycle and tertiary science education, he combines strong disciplinary expertise with a sustained commitment to mentorship, curriculum innovation, and research into environmental and food safety challenges of regional and global relevance.

He is currently a PhD candidate in Chemistry at the University of Ghana, Legon, where his dissertation investigates the quantification and characterisation of microplastic contamination in Ghanaian drinking water using light microscopy and Raman spectroscopy. This work sits within a wider research programme spanning heavy metal and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) contamination in food systems, environmental toxicology, and a continental systematic review of microplastic exposure across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Prior to joining KTU in 2024, he taught Elective Chemistry and Integrated Science at Pope John Senior High and Minor Seminary, St. Dominic's Senior High Technical School, and St. Rose's Senior High School, holding leadership roles including Head of the Science Department, Housemaster, Form Master, and National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) trainer. He continues to lecture part-time at the College for Distance and e-Learning (CoDeL), University of Education, Winneba, teaching Chemistry, Integrated Science, and Educational Assessment.

At KTU, he teaches Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and General Biochemistry to undergraduate students, drawing on blended learning strategies and open educational resources (OERs) to support inclusive, student-centred instruction. A DAAD Tricontinental Teacher Training Fellow (Cohorts 1 and 2, 2020–2021) at the University of Hamburg, he also contributed to a digital Chemistry textbook for Science Laboratory Technology under the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) initiative. He holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the United Kingdom, serves as an Assistant Examiner for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), and is a member of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), the Ghana Chemical Society (GCS), the Ghana Science Association (GSA), and the Technical University Teachers Association of Ghana (TUTAG).
