MSc. Accounting and Finance

MSc. Accounting and Finance is a master's programme (duration: 1 year) offered in the Department of Accountancy, Faculty of Business and Management Studies. Teaching is in the Weekend session, so you can study without leaving your job.

It is written for graduates and working people who want to go deeper in the field, and it is taught so that it fits around a full-time job.

• A first degree from a recognised university with at least Second Class Lower Division in an accounting-related field. Examples include BSc Administration (Accounting), BA Administration (Accounting), Economics, BA Administration, BBA (Accounting and Mathematics), BCom (Accounting), BTech (Accounting), BTech Accounting with Computing and BTech Accounting and Finance.
• OR a first degree outside Accounting and Finance with at least Second Class Lower Division, plus Part I, Part II or full qualification with ACCA, CIMA, ICAG, ICAEW, CPA, CFA or a similar accounting and finance professional qualification.
• OR a first degree outside Accounting and Finance from a recognised university with at least Second Class Lower Division, plus at least five years of practice experience in accountancy.
• OR qualified certification/membership of a recognised professional accountancy body such as ICAG, ICAEW, ACCA, AICPA or CIMA.

Foreign qualifications are referred to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to determine equivalence and eligibility for admission.
