Adv. Fashion Design & Textiles

Adv. Fashion Design & Textiles is a one-year certificate programme offered in the Department of Fashion Design and Textiles, Faculty of Applied Science and Technology. Teaching is in the Regular (morning) session.

It is hands-on from the first term and leads to a recognised certificate. It is also a recognised way in to a Higher National Diploma.

This is a two (2) year programme. Applicants must hold one of the following:

• A City and Guilds Certificate in Fashion and Designing (Dressmaking and Tailoring); or
• An Intermediate Dressmaking/Fashion Certificate plus at least one (1) year of relevant practical experience; or
• Four (4) passes in SSSCE/WASSCE subjects including English Language, Mathematics and any other elective subject, plus basic knowledge and skills in dressmaking; or
• Four (4) passes at GCE ‘O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics, plus knowledge in dressmaking.
