KTU Presents Medium-Term Development Plan (2026-2029) to the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly.

The Integrated Development Planning program of Koforidua Technical University has officially presented a Medium-Term Development Plan (2026–2029) to the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly. This initiative aligns with the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), which mandates all Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to develop medium-term plans to guide local development efforts.
The report, titled “Planning for Socio-Economic Transformation of Akuapem North Municipality,” was delivered during the Assembly’s General Meeting.

The presentation, held during the municipality’s General Assembly meeting, was graced by key stakeholders including Professor Richard Ohene Asiedu, Pro Vice Chancellor of KTU; the Presiding Member of the Assembly; the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE); the Municipal Coordinator; the Dean of the Faculty of Built and Natural Environment; the Head of Department of Building Technology; lecturers, assembly members, and departmental heads.

The report, titled “Planning for Socio-Economic Transformation of Akuapem North Municipality,” showcased the students’ research findings and strategic recommendations aimed at addressing developmental challenges and promoting inclusive growth within the municipality.

This initiative underscores KTU’s dedication to practical, community-focused education. By applying their classroom knowledge to real-world challenges, our students are helping shape meaningful change in Akuapem North.
