KTU’s COMPSSA Hosts Horizon Summit to Equip Students for Leadership and the World of Work

The Computer Science Students Association of Ghana (COMPSSA), Koforidua Technical University Chapter has organized “The Horizon Summit – Leadership & Marketplace Readiness” which brought together academia and industry leaders to prepare students for leadership and career success in an increasingly competitive global economy.

The summit which was held on 7th July, 2026 under the theme “Architects of Tomorrow: Shaping the Future of Business, Industry, and Governance” at the Abba Bentil Andam Theater of Koforidua Technical University, created a platform for meaningful conversations on leadership, innovation, employability, and the evolving demands of today’s workplace. Students engaged with distinguished speakers who shared practical insights on career development, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and the leadership competencies required to thrive across business, industry, and public service.

Speakers at the summit emphasized the importance of continuous learning, innovation, ethical leadership, collaboration, and industry relevance in preparing graduates for the world of work. The resource persons encouraged students to develop both technical expertise and essential soft skills to remain competitive in a rapidly changing global marketplace.

The summit also strengthened collaboration between the University and industry by providing students with direct access to professionals and thought leaders whose experiences bridge academic learning and real-world practice.

The event reflects COMPSSA-KTU’s commitment to complementing classroom instruction with industry-focused initiatives that enhance student development and leadership capacity.
