KTU Computer Science Department Trains Students in Generative AI and Software Development at a Research Seminar

The Computer Science Department of Koforidua Technical University (KTU) is preparing students for the future of technology by hosting a research seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and software development.

The seminar was held in conjunction with the Computer Science Students Association of Ghana (COMPSSA), KTU Chapter on Friday, June 19, 2026 at the Abba Bentil Andam Theatre. It was organised under the theme “Generative AI and the Future of Software Development”.

The session addressed the responsible use of AI. The facilitators advised students to keep learning core programming skills while also using AI tools. They said this will help students stay competitive in today’s fast-changing job market.

The event brought together students, lecturers and industry experts to discuss how AI is changing the way software is built today.

The facilitators gave practical demonstrations of generative AI, showing how emerging AI tools are transforming software design, coding, testing, and deployment processes.
