Koforidua Technical University (KTU) has successfully held its Maiden Graduate School Congregation, marking a historic milestone with the graduation of its first cohort of Master’s degree students.

The landmark ceremony brought together members of the Governing Council, University Management, faculty, graduands, parents, alumni, development partners and distinguished guests.

Chancellor Dr. Kwesi Eduafo Yankey described the occasion as a defining moment in the University’s history and encouraged graduands to become ambassadors of integrity, innovation and lifelong learning.

Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Kaku Sagary Nokoe, reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to strengthening research, innovation and industry partnerships.

Presenting the Vice-Chancellor’s report, Prof. John Owusu highlighted KTU’s achievements in academic development, infrastructure expansion, research, innovation and strategic partnerships, reaffirming the University’s commitment to postgraduate excellence.

Hon. Dr. Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff, was unable to attend due to official commitments and was represented by Mr. Richard Asante Amoah.

In the keynote address on the theme “Transforming Knowledge into Impact: Shaping the Future Through Advanced Learning”, Mr. Asante Amoah urged graduates to view their degrees as instruments of responsibility and national transformation. He challenged them to solve tomorrow’s challenges today, embrace collaboration, apply research to practical problems, build relationships founded on trust, and position themselves as leaders capable of driving Ghana’s and Africa’s development.

The congregation concluded with congratulations to the pioneering Master’s graduates and reaffirmed KTU’s mission of Innovating for Development through research, innovation and impactful education.
