Professional Profile

Dr. Prince George Aning-Agyei is a development planner with expertise in developing strategies for local-level development, project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. He holds M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Development Studies at the University of Cape Coast, and a B.Sc. in Planning at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Dr. Aning-Agyei has over a decade of experience in consultancy and has worked on a number of baseline, mid-term, and endline evaluation projects as a consultant and as a team member.

Dr. Aning-Agyei is a corporate member of the Ghana Institute of Planning (GIP), Commonwealth Institute of Planners, Ghana Monitoring and Evaluation Framework (GMEF), and the Development Studies Association, UK. He is also well-versed in the conceptualisation of appropriate research methodologies for programme evaluation. The current focus of Dr. Aning-Agyei’s operations is spread across nighttime planning, development financing, rural-urban transition planning, rural development, disaster management, sustainable livelihoods, gender and development, and environmental justice.

Dr. Aning-Agyei is currently a Lecturer at the Integrated Development Planning Department of the Koforidua Technical University. Prior to that, he served as the Executive Director for Resmad Consult Limited in Accra as well as the Monitoring Officer on the Ghana Trade and Investment Gateway Project that developed the Free Zones enclave in Tema.
