Professional Profile

Gladys Apreh Siaw is a lecturer from the Hospitality Department of Koforidua Technical University.  She holds a PhD in Hospitality Management and has taught for over 25 years, with over 17 years of her teaching career in a tertiary institution. Her research interests are in management and surveillance of common health hazards and working conditions, occupational health and safety, work design characteristics and food product development in the Hospitality industry. She was the Acting Head of the Department of the hospitality department from 2018 to 2020.  She was the Acting Programmes Coordinator in charge of Examinations, Hospitality Department of Koforidua Technical University, and in 2021, she also served as the Faculty Programmes Coordinator. She has been appointed as the new Head of Department for Hospitality from 2023 to date.

She currently teaches courses such as Research Methods, Project Seminar, Modern Trends in Hospitality and Tourism, Leadership and Professional Development, Accommodation Operation, Accommodation Operation Management, Food Commodities, Housekeeping, Nutrition, Tools & Equipment, Introduction to Clothing and Textiles and Safety Tools and Equipment.
