Emmanuel Agyenim-Boateng is a Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, with core responsibilities in teaching mechanical engineering-related courses, including Strength of Materials, Mechanics of Machines, Materials Science and Engineering, and Thermodynamics. He has also been actively involved in supervising project work, dissertations, and thesis of HND and BTech Mechanical Engineering students. He has also been serving on some departmental and faculty-level committees.

His general research areas include material surface strengthening techniques, hydrogen embrittlement resistance of alloys, fatigue and tensile strength improvement, as well as 4D printing improvement properties of shape memory polymers. His current research interest is in utilizing surface deformation techniques to improve the hydrogen embrittlement resistance of alloys. He has experience in making presentations at academic research conferences. He seeks to partner and collaborate with other researchers in the field to conduct research in mutual areas of interest. He is also a reviewer for some reputable Elsevier journals. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D program in Mechanical Engineering at Jiangsu University, China PR; where he previously graduated with a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering in 2019. He also holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Ghana.

He was appointed as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2020 and was promoted to the rank of Lecturer in 2023. He has a special interest in coaching and counseling students to enable them maximize their potential.
