
Previous KTU Signs Strategic Mou With Furnart Ghana Ltd. To Bolster Technical And Industrial Collaboration
The Women in Tech Seminar was organised to inspire and empower young women and girls—particularly female students—with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to pursue careers in technology and related fields. The event was spearheaded by the Computer Science Students Association of Ghana (COMPSSA), Koforidua Technical University Chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science.
The seminar recorded an impressive 80% increase in female participation, signalling growing interest among women in the tech space. The event was chaired by Dr. Ebenezer Komla Gavua, with insightful presentations delivered by Mr. Timothy Ayeke and Miss Veronica Oparebea Akotuah.
Participants were drawn from the department’s various academic programmes, including HND Computer Science and Network Management, BTech Computer Science, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence.
Attendees expressed heartfelt appreciation to the University’s management for their continuous support and commitment to gender empowerment in STEM fields.
