Queen Kara Pays Courtesy Call on KTU Management After Face of Technical University 2025 Win

The Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Dean of Students, and Executives of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Koforidua Technical University (KTU) have warmly received Queen Kara, winner of the recently concluded Face of Technical University 2025 pageant, during a courtesy visit to the University.

The Face of Technical University is a national beauty pageant that brings together contestants from all ten Technical Universities in Ghana. Beyond pageantry, the initiative serves as a powerful advocacy platform aimed at promoting Technical University education, increasing public awareness, and repositioning technical and vocational higher education as a vital component of Ghana’s national development agenda. Central to the programme is the promotion of entrepreneurship through seminars, workshops, and structured capacity-building sessions for participants.

Speaking on the significance of the initiative, the organisers—who are alumni of Technical Universities—highlighted the pageant’s role in enhancing the visibility of Technical Universities, formerly known as polytechnics, which have historically received limited public exposure. They noted that the platform provides an effective avenue for communicating the value of practice-oriented, industry-relevant education to prospective students, corporate bodies, and other key stakeholders.

The Face of Technical University Beauty Pageant, formerly known as Face of Polytechnic, is solely originated by the Jeffmor Group, with support from the Ghana National Union of Technical Students (GNUTS). The organisers reaffirmed their commitment to leveraging the pageant as a strategic tool to promote technical education as a credible pathway to innovation, employability, and sustainable economic growth in Ghana.
