FAST Organises Orientation Programme for Newly Admitted Undergraduate Students

The Faculty of Applied Science and Technology (FAST) of Koforidua Technical University, on January 27, 2026, successfully organized a one-day Orientation Programme for students newly admitted to pursue various undergraduate programmes within the Faculty.

The orientation programme, which was structured into two interactive sessions, was designed to formally welcome Level 100 students and acquaint them with the academic environment of the University. The sessions focused on providing detailed information on academic requirements, examination rules and regulations, as well as effective study practices expected of students in the Faculty. In addition, participants were introduced to the University’s campus layout and the range of student support services available to assist them throughout their academic journey.

Addressing the students, Professor Joseph Osei, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, encouraged them to remain disciplined, committed, and focused on their studies. He urged the students to take full advantage of the academic and support systems available to them and to work diligently towards achieving their academic and career goals.

The orientation programme marked an important first step in integrating the new students into university life and reaffirmed the Faculty’s commitment to nurturing academically competent and responsible graduates.
