About the Hub
Empowering innovation, entrepreneurship and enterprise development
About
A partnership between KTU and the Kosmos Innovation Center
The KTU-KIC Incubation Hub is an innovation and entrepreneurship platform established through a collaboration between Koforidua Technical University and the Kosmos Innovation Center. The Hub is a working environment where students, graduates, researchers and aspiring entrepreneurs turn innovative ideas into viable businesses and solutions that make a difference.
It carries forward the University's mandate for applied research, technology transfer, innovation and skills development, and it does so by backing the enterprises that come out of that work — so research reaches the market and young people find a way into it.
Our Vision
To become a leading university-based innovation and incubation hub in Ghana, recognised for developing innovative entrepreneurs, supporting start-ups and driving socioeconomic transformation.
Our Mission
To nurture innovative ideas, develop entrepreneurial talent and accelerate the creation of sustainable enterprises through mentorship, capacity building, industry collaboration and access to innovation resources.
What we do
The work of the Hub
Incubation and enterprise development
Business incubation from first idea to trading enterprise, with coaching and mentorship for start-ups at every stage of that journey.
Innovation challenges and training
Innovation challenges, hackathons and entrepreneurship training programmes that find ideas worth backing and give the people behind them the skills to build on.
Research commercialisation
Support for taking research findings to market, including product development and prototyping, so work done in the University does not stop at publication.
Industry and investor linkages
Introductions to the industry partners and investors a young enterprise needs, and the preparation to make those conversations count.
AgriTech innovation
Dedicated support for agricultural technology ventures and the enterprises growing around them, a focus the Hub shares with the Kosmos Innovation Center.
Youth skills and employability
Skills development that raises employability, for young people building a business and for those who will take what they learn into work elsewhere.
