Rev. Prince Baffour-Ofori is the second Director of Finance of Koforidua Technical University and first alumnus of same University to rise to the key office of the Directorate of Finance. He is enviably the first Qualified Accountant alumnus of the University.

He is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with approximately 19 years immense experience in Finance & Accounting, Auditing, Banking, Management and Administration, with over 14 years of experience in the higher education sector. Rev. Baffour-Ofori comes on board with a lot of finance and revenue generation innovations and skills. He has over the years acquired the expertise, exposure, and the capability to adapt to diverse situations. He believes in wealth creation from diligence and God’s grace.

Rev. Baffour-Ofori has mentored and coached many young professionals in the field of Accounting, Finance and Auditing.

Prior to his appointment as the Director of Finance in December 2023, he served as Deputy Director of Internal Audit of same University from October 2021.

His higher education experience began in 2009, where he was appointed as the Internal Auditor of the Presbyterian University, Ghana (previously Presbyterian University College, Ghana). He established the Internal Audit Directorate and served as the Head of the Directorate. He rose through the ranks from Internal Auditor to Deputy Director in 2016.

In 2014, due to his hard work, professionalism, integrity and people management, the University Council appointed him as the Acting Director of Finance until 2016, when a substantive Director of Finance was appointed. Rev. Baffour-Ofori was promoted to Deputy Director of Internal Audit in 2016 and acting Director of the Directorate of Internal Audit until September 2021, when he joined Koforidua Technical University.  In all, Rev. Baffour-Ofori is remarked by his introduction of a “cashless system”, financial innovations, cost-saving initiatives and automation of accounting processes.

Rev. Baffour-Ofori has extensive governance experience. He has served on several Boards and Committees both within the academia and industry.

He is currently a non-executive Director of the Kumawuman Rural Bank Plc, where he serves as Chairman of the Finance, Audit, Risk and Compliance sub committees of the Board. He was previously a Director of the Afram Community Bank (previously Afram Rural Bank Ltd), where he also served as the chairman of Finance, Audit and ICT Committees.

Rev. Baffour-Ofori is also the current Chairman of the Audit Committee of Kade Government Hospital as well as Kwaebibirem Municipal Health Directorate.

He is a senior minister of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) and the Head Pastor of Light Temple, ICGC Abetifi.

Rev. Baffour-Ofori qualified as a Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) in 2009 and was called into member in 2010. He is also proudly a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) and a fellow Chartered Professional Administrator (FChPA) and Chartered Management Consultant (CMC).

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Cape Coast, a First Class Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Accounting from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a First Class Higher National Diploma (HND) from Koforidua Technical University (previously, Koforidua Polytechnic).

Rev. Baffour-Ofori is a past student of St. Martin’s Secondary School and a proud alumnus of Koforidua Technical University. Rev. Baffour-Ofori is married to Mrs. Janet Baffour-Ofori and they are blessed with three children; Oforiwaa, Juanita and Obaapa.
