Heaven’s Dew Montessori Students Successfully Tour KTU Faculty of Engineering

Students and teachers of Heaven’s Dew Montessori, Koforidua, have successfully undertaken an educational tour to the Faculty of Engineering at Koforidua Technical University (KTU). The visit, which took place on Tuesday, 25th November 2025, followed an earlier request granted by the University, and provided an enriching hands-on learning experience for the Junior High School pupils.

Upon arrival, the group was warmly received by the Faculty’s administrative and technical staff, who provided a brief orientation before leading participants through the various laboratories and workshops. The students had the rare opportunity to explore all five departments under the Faculty of Engineering. These included laboratories dedicated to Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Automotive Engineering, and Renewable Energy Systems.

Throughout the tour, the pupils interacted with laboratory technicians and faculty members who demonstrated key equipment and processes used in engineering education and research. From observing practical experiments to learning about safety procedures, measurement tools, fabrication techniques, and modern engineering technologies, the visit offered the students a deeper appreciation of how scientific principles are applied in real-world problem-solving.

The tour was highly educative and inspiring, sparking curiosity among the students while exposing them to potential career paths in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Teachers accompanying the group expressed gratitude for the detailed explanations and demonstrations provided by faculty staff, noting that the practical exposure beautifully complemented the pupils’ classroom learning.
