Academic Profile
Dr. Simon Ofori Ametepey is a Lecturer in Sustainable Construction and Project Management at Koforidua Technical University (KTU). He is an experienced academic, researcher, project management professional, and construction industry practitioner with extensive expertise in sustainable construction, infrastructure development, project management, and environmental management.
He is actively involved in teaching, research, curriculum development, student supervision, and academic administration. As part of his academic responsibilities, he serves as Departmental Programmes Coordinator, Examinations Coordinator, and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects. He has also contributed significantly to the development of new Bachelor of Technology (BTech) and Master of Technology (MTech) programmes within the University.
Dr. Ametepey's work focuses on promoting sustainable infrastructure development and environmentally responsible construction practices. His research and professional activities seek to address contemporary challenges in the construction industry through innovative project management approaches, sustainable design principles, effective contract administration, and policy-oriented solutions.
Beyond academia, he is an active member of several professional bodies and has served in leadership roles within the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET-Ghana), contributing to the advancement of engineering and project management practice in Ghana.
