PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
The Programme is designed to train students to acquire advanced knowledge in Procurement and Supply Chain Management and equip students with an in-depth understanding of Procurement and Supply Chain principles, techniques and best practices with the intention to produce graduates who can find solutions to challenges confronting professionals and managers in fields of Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Inventory Management, and Stores Administration.
This in the end will help the students to develop capacities in research and critical thinking skills in Procurement and Supply Chain Management to enable them address complex issues, and contribute to the field’s knowledge base and make informed decisions.
The programme also aims to provide hands-on training for students on Ghana’s E-procurement System (GHANEPS) and Sustainable Practices.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for the MSc in Procurement and Supply Chain Management programme, candidates must hold the following:
1. Bachelor’s Degree (B-Tech./ B.A /BSc)
A first degree with a minimum of Second Class or better in procurement and supply chain-related programmes. Students below the minimum of second class shall be required to pass a written examination OR interview.
2. Foreign Qualifications
All foreign qualifications would be referred to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission to Koforidua Technical University (National Accreditation Board Act, 2007 [Act 744 (2(2b)]).
All foreign applicants must note that the American SAT, TOEFL, etc., cannot in themselves be acceptable as entry qualifications into Koforidua Technical University.
3. Applicants with Professional Qualifications CISCM Level
Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management (MCISCM) CILT International Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Transport CIPS Level 3 Graduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply (MCIPS)
Note: Professional qualifications will undergo an evaluation process to be conducted by GTEC to determine their equivalence.
MODE OF APPLICATION
Applicants can only apply online via Koforidua Technical University’s online application portal. The procedure is as follows:
- Ghanaian Applicants are to make a payment of Two Hundred Cedis (GH¢200.00) for the Koforidua Technical University On-line Serial Numbers (OSN) E-Vouchers at any Republic Bank, Fidelity Bank, Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) and Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) branches throughout the country.
- Applicants can also purchase admission vouchers with Short Code by dialing *776*123# (All networks) and type KTU as the institutional code.
- Access the online forms by visiting our online application portal at https://applyonline.ktu.edu.gh with the e-voucher.
- When completing the online forms, applicants must upload their passport-size photographs and result slips, certificates, and academic references. Note: Photographs must be on a white background.
