B.Tech Mechatronics Engineering is a niche area for Koforidua Technical University. Mechatronic engineering is a multidisciplinary field of science that includes a combination of mechanical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, telecommunication engineering, systems engineering and control engineering. Mechatronics Engineering in Ghana can create a myriad of new industrial and academic opportunities. Mechatronics will provide the necessary knowledge for creative individuals to invent innovative and efficient products to problems of both industry and national interests. Mechatronics in Ghana can also help increase productivity, maintain consistency in the production process and produce products of higher quality with lower operating cost to enable the products to compete successfully in the international market.
This programme seeks to equip students with a strong understanding of the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering and control systems in a synergistic framework. In addition, students can design, develop and implement intelligent engineered products and processes to solve challenging technological problems or meet specific human needs effectively using a variety of innovative methods.
