Prof. Eugene Okyere – Kwakye
Eugene Okyere–Kwakye is an Associate Professor at the Koforidua Technical University, Ghana. He is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management Studies at the Koforidua Technical University. Prior to this position, He was the Head of Department for Management Studies Department and the General Studies Department at the Koforidua Technical University. He teaches Entrepreneurship and Small Business, Public Sector Human Resource Management and Corporate Governance. Eugene’s professional experience has international outlook on innovation, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and knowledge Management which spans over a decade from Malaysia, Canada, France, Switzerland and Austria.
For more than a decade, aside teaching Eugene has consulted and conducted several entrepreneurship trainings for and on behalf of Kosmos Innovation Centre, National Service Secretariat, Youth Entrepreneurship Agency, National Employment Industry Programme (NEIP), British Council, Universiti Technologi Mara (UITM), Ling Sign SDN, NYP, NVTI and Youth Enterprise Support (YES Fund). Currently, Eugene voluntarily conducts periodic outreach programme on book keeping, branding, and customer care for Market Women, Taxi Drivers, MSME owners and others in the Eastern Region. Eugene has co-written proposals and won grants from GIZ, Malaysian Research Institute (UTM Research Centre), Kosmos Innovation Centre, Danida and UNDP and others. He has worked on several administrative and academic boards and committees within and outside the university.
He acquired his PhD and MSc in Management from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia. Eugene is a recipient of several international and national awards and fellowships from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and others. Eugene has published articles in African Journal of Library, Archives & Information Science, International Journal of Knowledge Management (IJKM), Knowledge Management & E-Learning: An International Journal of Innovation Science and etc.
He has also attended and presented his research findings at several international academic conferences. His research interests are in the area of knowledge management, entrepreneurship, technology adoption and Human and Organizational Development. Eugene’s current interest is in Entrepreneurship Education and MSME Performance.
