William Odoom

PROFILE

William Odoom is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Food/Postharvest Technology at the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology (FAST) and also teaches some courses in the Department of Environmental Management and Technology.

His research interest is to acquire a better understanding of the pre-harvest and postharvest factors affecting perishable and durable products and identify innovative technologies that can be used to solve problems related to postharvest.

July, 2019 – Reviewed 4-Year B. Tech Food Technology curriculum document to NAB.
May, 2019 – Led the Department Team to defend 4-Year B. Tech in Food Technology and Postharvest Technology Proposals at NCTE.
February, 2019- Reviewed HND Food Technology and HND Postharvest Technology documents for re-accreditation.
December, 2019 – Led the Department Team during NAB inspection in the HND Food Technology, HND Postharvest Technology and 4-Year B. Tech, in Food Technology Programmes.
April, 2018- Reviewed 4-Year B. Tech Food Technology and Postharvest Technology Proposal to NCTE.
June, 2017- Developed 4-Year B.Tech. Postharvest Technology Proposal to NCTE
September, 2012 to Date – Developed the HND and B. TECH Postharvest Technology Curriculum for Koforidua Technical University.
September, 2012 to Date – Supervised students to conduct research work in various areas of National Development.
September, 2012 to Date -Facilitated and lectured students in various areas including Introduction to Postharvest Technology, Food Packaging, Crop Drying, Storage Structures and others.
