Kwame Adomako Kwabia is a Scientist in the field of Medical Laboratory Science with a Specialization in Medical Parasitology. He did his secondary school education in Prempeh College, completing in 1999 and furthering to the University of Ghana, Legon for his First Degree and subsequently his Master of Philosophy in Applied Parasitology in the same University.
His work life includes a part-time teaching with Ideal College, Legon teaching Integrated Science (SHS) and A-Level Biology. He later taught at the then African International University College as a part-time nursing tutor in basic sciences and later at the Premier Nursing Training College- Kumasi. He later joined the Ghana Health Service in 2009 as Medical Laboratory Scientist and in 2012 joined the then Koforidua Polytechnic (now Koforidua Technical University).
He served as the first Head of Department for the Department of Medical Laboratory Science (2016 to 2018) and concurrently the Examinations Officer (2016 to 2018 & 2018 to 2020). He has taught courses in Organic Chemistry, Biophysics, Biostatistics, Instrumentation and Lab Management, Molecular Biology and Medical Parasitology.
His research background and experience are in Medical Mycology, Bacteriology and Parasitology with special interest in Natural Products for antimicrobial use in disease treatment and management.
As part of his community support, he runs an online school; the GH Adesua Online School; which focusses on improving the academic prowess of Primary, Junior High and Senior High School students. He also runs a certificate and diploma tutorial institution, the Ed-Peniel College and an educational consultancy service, the Ed-Peniel Consult that supports students to study abroad.
